Speed tests

When you run a speed test, Core Web Vitals check, Lighthouse test or website grade, your browser sends the URL directly to Google’s PageSpeed Insights API. Google’s servers load the page and return the results. Google’s own privacy policy applies to that request. If Google’s shared quota is exhausted, the request may be passed through our server to Google instead; we don’t log it.

TTFB checker

The TTFB checker sends the URL to our server, which makes three requests to that address and returns the timings. We keep only a short-lived, in-memory count of requests per IP address to prevent abuse. Nothing is written to disk or a database.

AI fix plan

If you click “Write my fix plan”, a text summary of the report (the tested URL, scores, metrics and audit titles), your chosen platform and your optional question are sent to our server and on to an AI model through Vercel AI Gateway to write the answer. We don’t store the summary or the answer. Don’t put personal information in the question box.

Stored in your browser

We use your browser’s localStorage to remember your last 30 tests (URL, scores and a few metrics), your chosen platform, your optional PageSpeed API key, and checklist progress. It stays on your device and is never sent to us.

Clear everything stored by SiteVitals

Analytics

We use Ahrefs Web Analytics to count page views. It is cookieless and doesn’t collect personal data.
